Marco has 25 years of high level gymnastics coaching experience. Throughout these years, Marco has trained and developed gymnasts from the preschool level up through Elite and Level 10. In addition, with Marco's help and gymnastics instruction, over 35 gymnasts have earned full ride scholarships to major universities such as the University of Michigan, Michigan State, University of Arizona, University of Colorado, University of Illinois (Champaign & UIC), Illinois State, Iowa State, Brown University, Kent State University, University of Nebraska, Utah State University, Western Michigan University, Cornell University, University of Minnesota, & Sacramento State University.
Marco qualified 4 Elite gymnasts to the U.S. Classics.
Marco has coached over 50 Level 10 National qualifiers and has had at least one gymnast qualify every year for the last 12 years. Some of their accomplishments at Nationals include 4 U. S. National Team Members, an All Around National Champion, 8 National Individual Event Champions (Bars, Beam, Vault) and numerous top 3 All Around finishers.
2009 Junior Olympic Region 5 Coach of the Year (selected from all the coaches in Illinois, Ohio, Michigan, Kentucky & Indiana)
Region 5 Rookie Coach of the Year (1998)
Has qualified over 30 gymnasts to the Region 5 All Star Team and traveled to France, Germany, Sweden, El Salvador, Japan, Costa Rica & Grand Cayman Islands for international gymnastics competition.
He has participated & lead many local, state, regional & national gymnastics camps and clinics. Marco is a regular clinician/speaker at the Illinois State Congress.
Marco loves working with children of all ages and abilities. While he has been an extremely success upper level gymnastics coach, he still really enjoys working with the younger gymnasts. As all of his gymnasts would agree, he is the silliest and most fun gymnastics coach around.
